Lip Enhancement

Enhance the beauty of your lips with dermal fillers performed by our experienced doctors at ND Skin Aesthetics.

Lips are an important part of facial beauty. Plump, voluptuous lips are at the top of many people’s wish lists. These can be made from materials found naturally in the body. A simple and safe temporary dermal filler treatment can add volume and contour to improve small, thin lips. This procedure can also smooth out asymmetric lips and make fine vertical lines less noticeable.

What part of the lips can be strengthened?

Lip augmentation can be performed on different parts of the lips.

Vermilion Outline or Lip Line – Defines, widens, and accentuates lipstick smear lines.

Targeting the fleshy areas of the upper and lower lips to enhance volume, pout, and fuller lips

Cupid Bow Definition – Add definition and contour

Wrinkles hanging down from the corners of the mouth – for a youthful and happy impression

Marionette lines (sad lines below the edge of the lips) – Also called marionette lines.

The philtrum crest extending from the upper lip to the nose becomes more defined.

Lines around the mouth, or fine vertical lines that often appear on the upper lip due to smoking, can be reduced.

What does the procedure involve?

Before Treatment: Apply local anesthesia 15-30 minutes before treatment to numb the affected area.

Procedure: Dermal fillers are injected into specific points on the skin. The doctor then massages the product to smooth it out. You are fully awake during the procedure. You will be given a mirror to hold so you can see the results while your doctor completes the treatment.

After treatment: Do not touch or apply to the treatment area for 6 hours to prevent infection. On the day of treatment, you will receive a detailed post-treatment explanation from the clinic coordinator.

Results are immediate and last 6-12 months. The results are relatively temporary, so adjustments can be made as your face changes over time, maintaining a natural look at all times.

Is the procedure painful?

We know lips are a sensitive area, therefore we provide many anaesthetic ice packs or anaesthetic creams to sooth pain if necessary. In addition, we use products that contain anaesthetic ingredients, so you can receive treatment with relative peace of mind. All of our doctors are highly experienced in this surgery and ensure that your treatment is as comfortable as possible.

Do you see immediate results?

After the injection, the lips are often slightly swollen. Therefore, results immediately after treatment may not be final results. Swelling will be reduced and disappear in a few days. To achieve the desired results, we recommend follow-up treatments 2-4 weeks after the first session. This also contributes to the longevity of the therapeutic effect.

How long will the results last?

The effect usually lasts for 6-12 months. The lifespan of these products vary and individuals may experience different results. Regular follow-up treatments can be planned to maintain initial results. Our treatments provide long-term results, but they are not permanent. It gives us the opportunity to refine our treatments to meet changing tastes and fashions.

What are the medical side effects of dermal fillers?

If you have had cold sores (herpes simplex) around your mouth before, treatment may cause them to appear again. Make sure you have a supply of oral tablets (prescription only) like acyclovir.

These products have not been tested for pregnancy or lactation safety and should not be used by pregnant or lactating women.

What are the possible side effects of cosmetics?
